I had the privilege to support iterations of the Hagerty Valuation tools including the first POC. What started as a Silverlight application has now grown into the leading valuation resource for classic and enthusiast autos.
The Valuation Tools are backed by a SQL relational database that houses everything from the VIN to a historical record of auction results and sales.
The Valuation Tools is a mobile responsive site designed to allow members to search vehicles through multiple facets to find the right value for their car.
CRUD screens and a mobile data collection application were all created to support the data including capturing real-time auction results.
As valuation tools evolved so has its access. The application has been built to limit access behind a paywall to help drive membership adoption
Valuation tools have been integrated with third-party vendors like eBay to help provide additional value in vehicle sales and auctions.
It's hard to make a quote look sexy. So I won't lie and say I did. However, I did work with a team to create a quote that was sexy to the business. We built a quote that could be driven by the business in terms of flows, experiences, and data.
We built a quote that was configurable for both direct members and agent business on the device of their choosing. The quote has the ability to be white-labeled as well as integration with third-party applications.
The quote is backed by a configuration engine that was built not only to support the quote but to also allow the business to configure other flows for which they wanted management capabilities.
A rule engine was built specifically for the needs of our insurance product and regulatory filings. This engine has allowed the business to configure product offerings based on the journey.
This may have been one of the hardest projects I lead while at Hagerty. Charged with making our members more secure we implemented a standard framework for SSO across a majority of our applications. It was not the smoothest delivery but we persevered and delivered what is now the gateway to members tools.
We used best in class practices to ensure members would have access to their PII while making it easy to access their policy information.
In working with over 50K agents nationwide we found it imperative to offer single sing on from some of the leading Agency management systems.
Not everything needs layers of access and this is why we decided to open some items up for quick access to our members decreasing the need to call.
Early on in my time at Hagerty the Hagerty Magazine was on an upswing and with that came the need to deliver our content in a more ready digital fashion. For that reason, we implemented a suite of tools to support our digital team in curating and creating complementary content for our magazine.
We implemented Sitecore in a 6 month window with custom templates and workflows to support article and content creation across all areas of Hagerty.
Using best in class tooling we ensured that the data that was flowing through the site was able to be monitored and acted upon.
Looked upon as the leader in a growing market of classic cars we quickly found the need to make our content accessible to outside parties to share with wider audiences.
